The American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) and the National Grape Research Alliance (NGRA) are partnering to produce an event called the ASEV-NGRA Precision Viticulture Symposium, to be held June 21-22, in Monterey, CA—in person, if possible!
We expect a relatively intimate gathering of only 200 academics and industry representatives to gather to hear from scientists about the trajectory of precision viticulture. The scientists will gain valuable insight, too, from fellow researchers and from industry early-adopters who will share their experiences. From the basic principles to their application in the areas of canopy management, pests and diseases, symposium speakers will address what problems industry can solve, what costs they can improve and how they can impact productivity and/or quality via precision techniques and technologies.
A full day of conference proceedings will be followed by in-field demonstrations and tours at locations in the nearby Salinas Valley, with an evening reception in between. Save these dates!
