Care About Research? Represent the Northwest Region on Our Board
NGRA Seeks a Northwest Regional Board Representative
Does research matter to you? Does science drive your business and decisions? Is innovation the key to advancing the grape and wine industry? Step up to represent the Northwest Region on the Board of Directors of the National Grape Research Alliance as a grower or producer in Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and/or Wyoming.
As a Regional Rep, you will participate in three Board meetings each year and serve on one or more national committees, such as research, nominating, development, or strategic planning. You will use your strong interest in research, well-established network with growers/producers and researchers, and the respect and support of other organizations and companies in your region to report on the region’s research needs at least once a year and raise issues, ideas and requests related to research.
The next NGRA Board meeting is July 11, 2022, in Minneapolis, MN with subsequent meetings November 1, 2022 (Dripping Springs, TX) and January 23, 2023 (Sacramento, CA). You will need to be present at the meeting when the vote to appoint you will occur. An annual membership contribution of at least $1,000 is required.
NGRA is an industry-led nonprofit organization made up of leaders of the US grape and wine industry including the wine, juice, table grape and raisin commodity sectors and all growing regions nationwide. It works to catalyze research to ensure the continued competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of all grape sectors. NGRA focuses on far-reaching, long-term projects of a scope and scale greater than any one sector, region or company could achieve.
